Barbara Busby, Publisher

Barbara has an extensive background in the publishing industry and received her Associate in Business degree from Truett-McConnell College. She has served on the Lavonia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has volunteered with the local production of  Land of Spirit. She lives in the Gumlog area of Franklin County with her husband, James, and children: Shelby, Emily, and Ryan.

Susan Poole, Writer

Susan Poole has previously written a regular recipe column as Lifestyles editor for a weekly South Carolina newspaper. Subsequently she produced newsletters and reference materials for non-profit agencies in Washington, DC, and Atlanta. A native Georgian, she and her husband moved to Franklin County four years ago after being weekenders for 20 years. She is currently on the board of directors of the Lavonia Chamber of Commerce, where coincidentally she serves on the luncheon committee.

Susan Payne, Writer

Though originally from south Florida, Susan Payne has called north Georgia home since 1986. Susan has quite an expansive resume including nursing, teaching, writing, theatre/fine arts work, marketing and a summer camp cook. But by far, Susan confesses her favorite profession is being a wife and mom! Susan obtained her BSN from Florida Atlantic University. She and her husband, John, live in Carnesville and have four children: Ethan, Asher, Chloe, and Moriah.
